Update the first: Giant Drag at Emo’s, back on May 25th. I didn’t do a proper write-up at the time, but I actually enjoyed their set more than headliners Pretty Girls Make Graves, who I like but found a bit underwhelming live. Particularly following the immensely entertaining Annie Hardy, who has got to be one of the most interestingly unusual people I’ve ever met.

Update the second: ATX all-girl punks The Applicators, also at Emo’s, on June 17th.
